Please allow me to...

As a recently turned 54-year-old woman, I have had some, let’s say, broad life experiences. However, in the last few years, I’ve ditched my relationship with Botox and my brief liaison with fillers. My hair is a shimmering shade of silver now that I am forgoing the expensive upkeep of highlighting and toning. I am going on my third consecutive year of (HEAVY) weight lifting and getting steps of 8,000 to 10,000 on the daily instead of running miles and grinding out HIIT workouts. Oh yeah, I am also in menopause. Officially the crone stage of life where wisdom is to be my crown of glory. Or so I am told.

It is this stage of my life that has me shifting my focus professionally. Using my nursing background as a health coach has allowed me to cover a large spectrum of clients with health concerns. Now I am narrowing my audience specifically for women mainly because of experiences in my health as well as my friends, colleagues, and clients.

As a woman, you have health concerns unique to the female body and mind, and here are just a few:

· Hormone and reproductive health

· Cardiovascular issues

· Metabolism

· Gut microbiome

· Psychological and physical safety

· Healthy skin as we age

· Stress management

· Independent mobility

You may have entered a phase in your life that has left you wondering how to cope or caused you to realize that you need to change some things up. I know menopause did that for me for sure. As a health coach, I not only bring information, education and compassion into the session, but also accountability. You come to me for a reason and I hold you to your commitment to yourself. Together, we reach your goal.

Here are a few tips for your health to get you started thinking, for free:

· Get 25 grams of fiber in your daily nutrition

· Get to know what NEAT is: non-exercise activity thermogenesis

· See your healthcare provider for regular checkups and ASK QUESTIONS

· Know your numbers and what they mean: blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol

· Know your family health history

· Get QUALITY sleep

If my blog has helped you in any way, I would love to know about it. Please like and

comment so we can start a conversation.

Until next time my friends,

Namaste
